Dates & Locations for American Ninja Warrior Season 12 Filming Announced!

The website for getting your free tickets to tapings of American Ninja Warrior was updated today with information about the upcoming 2020 Season 12 of American Ninja Warrior. It revealed the filming locations, taping dates, hosts, and more for ANW Season 12 in 2020!

First up, the filming dates & cities for ANW Season 12!

  • Los Angeles, California: March 13 – 14: Universal Studios Backlot
  • Washington, D.C.: April 6 – 7: DC Armory
  • Washington, D.C.: April 11 – 12: DC Armory
  • St. Louis, Missouri: May 5 – 6: The Dome at America’s Center
  • St. Louis, Missouri: May 10 – 11: The Dome at America’s Center
  • Las Vegas, Nevada: Early June & Venue TBA

One big change regular competitors and watchers of the show will notice is that there are only 3 cities on this list, where the most recent few seasons have had either five or six. However, in Washington D.C., and St. Louis, there are actually 2 different blocks of 2 day tapings. This means that for the first time, one city will host tapings for multiple regions. We would expect that the first two days will host one region, and then the next two days in that city will film another region. Las Vegas is also revealed to be the location again for the National Finals in early June, however, the exact dates are still to be announced.

In addition, we also now know that the majority of taping will take place indoors and during the day! The Los Angeles city qualifiers and city finals will still film overnight, and outdoor at Universal Studio Backlots. However, the four city qualifiers and four city finals that will film in St. Louis and Washington D.C. will film indoors at arenas or stadiums, and film during the day and early evening. Details about Las Vegas weren’t announced but expect it to remain the same – outdoors and filming overnight over the course of several days.

Finally, the ticket page reveals that last year’s hosting team will return for duty this season. Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila are both back, along with last year’s sideline host Zuri Hall.

Tickets are expect to be released 30 days before filming, so be sure to check back here around the middle of February. They have a form on the webpage you can sign up to be notified for when tickets are actually released.
