The new rules for American Ninja Warrior: Ninja vs Ninja are that every match/heat, whether individual or relay, are worth 1 point each. For each round/matchup, the first team to 3 points wins. The first 3 races in each round are individual, and if required, races 4 & 5 are relay races involving the whole team. For the wildcard round, if you win, you advance to the prelim round of the finals. Unlike the qualifying rounds, there is no extended course - each round features just 6 obstacles.
