The new rules for American Ninja Warrior: Ninja vs Ninja are that every match/heat, whether individual or relay, are worth 1 point each. For each round/matchup, the first team to 3 points wins. The first 3 races in each round are individual, and if required, races 4 & 5 are relay races involving the whole team. The first 2 rounds per episode are the first 6 obstacles only - the third/final round has the full 9 obstacles. Once you lose a round, you are out, unless you are make it back through the Wildcard round.
