9-10 Year Old Division (Ninja Mentor: Barclay Stockett and Najee Richardson)

The course: Shrinking Steps, Little Dipper, Spider Walls, Block Run, Flying Squirrel, 13 Foot Warped Wall (with two hand holds)

Semifinal #1: Daniel Woods vs Reeder Smith

Daniel was a Wildcard winner who fought his way to the Finals, while Reeder is unbeaten so far in the competition.

Reeder’s best time so far is three seconds faster than Daniel’s.

Reeder had a brief lead through two obstacles.

Daniel passed Reeder on Spider Walls.

But just like he’s done throughout the competition, Reeder used his patented one swing dismount on Flying Squirrel to take the lead for good.

Reeder hit the buzzer and is on his way to the Final Race!!!

Semifinal #2: Nathanael Honvou vs Owen Pham

Owen is a part of the “Phamily” and takes great pride in his family’s crest, while Nathanael set multiple highs with his runs on the course.

Nathanael’s best time is four seconds faster than Owen’s.

The two alternated the lead through the first two obstacles.

But it was Nathanael who came out of the Spider Walls ahead.

Much like Reeder, “Ninja Nutin” did the one swing dismount on the Flying Squirrel to secure the win and advance to the Final Showdown!!!

9-10 Year Old Division Championship Race: Reeder Smith vs Nathanael Honvou

A battle of unbeatens racing for the championship!!!

And their best times are separated by only four tenths of a second.

Reeder took a slight lead at the start while Nathanael stayed close behind.

Reeder looked to be adding to his lead on Spider Walls.

But shockingly, Reeder slipped and fell on the third obstacle.

“Ninja Nutin” finished the course with his fastest time so far!!!

Nathanael is your 9-10 year old division champion!!!

9-10 Year Old Final Standings

CHAMPION: NATHANAEL HONVOU

RUNNER-UP: REEDER SMITH

Third Place: Daniel Woods

Fourth Place: Owen Pham

11-12 Year old Division (Ninja Mentor: Grant McCartney and Jessie Graff)

The course: Shrinking Steps, Little Dipper, Double Tilt Ladders, Block Run, Wing Nuts, 13 foot Warped Wall (one hand hold)

11-12 year old division:

Semifinal #1: Sienna Perez vs Jack David

Jack is a wildcard winner who has improved with each race, while Sienna has the endorsement from Jessie Graff that she can win the whole thing.

Jack’s best time is four seconds faster than Sienna’s.

The pair were even after one obstacle.

Jack raced ahead following the Little Dipper.

But Sienna’s usual quick work on Double Tilt Ladders evened things up.

The two ninjas were dead even going into the Wing Nuts.

The difference was a one swing dismount on Wing Nuts, and Jack hit the buzzer first and advanced to the Final Race!!!

Semifinal #2: Tate Allen vs Nacssa Garemore

Best friends compete in the semifinals!!! These two compete together all the time at ninja competitions and became friends over the course of all those competitions.

Nacssa’s best time is two seconds faster than Tate’s.

Nacssa came out of the Little Dipper with the lead.

Tate looked to be taking the lead himself, but he slipped on the mat of Double Tilt Ladders and his feet hit the water.

We’ll see if that comes back to bite him.

Tate stayed ahead with just one swing on the first part of the Wingnuts.

And it was Tate who finished the fifth obstacle first.

But Nacssa passed Tate up the Wall and hit the buzzer a split second before Tate to advance to the Finals!!!

11-12 Year Old Division Championship Race: Jack David vs Nacssa Garemore

Nacssa’s best time is just under two seconds better than Jack’s.

Jack raced out to the lead early on.

Jack went for the big dismount on Double Tilt Ladders and hit, keeping his lead.

For the second race in a row, Nacssa’s competitor got off the fifth obstacle first.

And for the second race in a row, Nacssa flew up the Wall to run his competitor down from behind.

But this time, after a photo finish (and by .014 of a second), Jack held off Nacssa and hit the buzzer first to claim the championship!!!

CHAMPION: JACK DAVID

RUNNER-UP: NACSSA GAREMORE

Third Place: Tate Allen

Fourth Place: Sienna Perez

13-14 year old Division (Ninja Mentor: Meagan Martin and Drew Dreschel)

The course: Floating Steps, Little Dipper, Crazy Cliffhanger, Block Run, Sky Hooks, 13-foot Warped Wall (no hand holds)

Semifinal #1: Kaden Lebsack vs Kai Beckstrand

Kaden is a rookie who came from a wildcard spot to get here, while Kai looks to claim a title in his new age group.

Kaden’s best time is about a second and a half faster.

Kaden’s long leaps made quick work of the early obstacles as he raced out to the early lead.

Kai stayed close behind, but Kaden’s speed proved too much.

Kai slipped and fell on Crazy Cliffhanger trying to keep up.

Kaden hit the buzzer and is on his way to the Final Race with the fastest time of anyone in this competition.

Semifinal #2: Devan Alexander vs Vance Walker

Devan lost his first race and hasn’t lost since, while Vance is the defending champ who’s never lost a race.

Vance’s best time is about six seconds faster than Devan’s.

These two were fast and even!!!

Devan was stride for stride with the champ through four obstacles.

Vance hit the Sky Hooks, his specialty, a split second before Devan.

And while Devan did an incredible job on the fifth obstacle, he was no match for the champ.

Vance moved quickly through Sky Hooks on his way to the Final Race (with a new best time in the competition) and a shot at defending his title.

13-14 Year Old Division Championship Race: Kaden Lebsack vs Vance Walker

Don’t blink or you’ll miss this one!!!

Can Kaden take down the unbeaten champ?

Or will Vance clinch back-to-back championships?

No one has been faster on this course, with their two best times separated by less than a second.

It was Kaden who had the slight lead after two obstacles.

He kept that lead through the Crazy Cliffhanger, but it was by inches.

The champ jumped ahead on Block Run, taking the lead going into his best obstacle.

And it seems like Vance makes quicker work of Sky Hooks with each time he attempts it.

The champ has defended!!! Vance hits the buzzer and is your 13-14 year old champ once again!!!

CHAMPION: Vance Walker

RUNNER-UP: Kaden Lebsack

Third Place: Devan Alexander

Fourth Place: Kai Beckstrand

That does it for season 2 of American Ninja Warrior Jr. Let’s hope things in the world get better in the near future so these ninjas can get back out on the course soon. See you then.
