Season 12 Washington DC American Ninja Warrior filming also delayed due to COVID-19

Following the news last week that the Los Angeles filming was postponed, producers for American Ninja Warrior announced today that filming of the Washington DC filming dates, originally scheduled for April 6 – 12 at the DC Armory, is also being postponed. No new date or time is currently known.

The statement the producers released was as follows:

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation this past week in dealing with the shut down of #ANW in Los Angeles. As we work to adjust the #AmericanNinjaWarrior season 12 schedule, we will do our best to keep you informed. Our priority is the greater good of everyone. With that in mind, the scheduled Washington, DC qualifiers will too be postponed. No future date or location has been determined. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as necessary. Thank you for your patience during this time. Stay healthy and be well!

Although not explicitly stated with this cancellation notice, when Los Angeles was postponed, the producers stated their goal was “to do our best to make sure anyone who was confirmed to compete on season 12 gets a chance to run the course.” You can assume this applies to the delay of the Washington DC tapings as well, where over 100 ninjas had been casted to compete in DC.

At this point, the only filming dates that have yet to be postponed are for St. Louis, which are scheduled for May 5 – 11. When we hear an update on those filming dates, or find out about when/if Washington DC & Los Angeles will be rescheduled for, we will post an update.
