We’re less than a week away from the start of Season 11 of ANW, and details have started to emerge regarding some of the new elements that come into play on Season 11. As we previously reported, there will be a new standalone obstacle known as the Power Tower. Thanks to American Ninja Warrior Nation, we now know what the winner of the Power Tower will receive.
Speed Pass
The two fastest ninjas in city qualifying will take on the Power Tower. The winner receives a “Speed Pass” which guarantees them a spot at the National Finals. The ninja who wins the speed pass can either skip the city finals altogether, or try to go as fast as possible for a shot at the safety pass, since they know even if they fall, they still advance to the National Finals.
Safety Pass
The two fastest ninjas in city finals will take on the Power Tower. The winner receives a “Safety Pass”, which allows them a do-over in Stage One or Stage Two of the national finals.
Other Changes
The Mega Wall is returning, but with slight rule changes. Last year, it was one shot at the Mega Wall, then your other 2 attempts were taken on the normal warped wall. This year, if you attempt the Mega Wall, you still have 2 more attempts, but both of those have to be take on the Mega Wall – there is no going back.
Finally, fewer ninjas will advance to the National Finals. This year, 13-15 ninjas will advance, compared to the 15-17 from last year.
