American Ninja Warrior just keeps coming back! This time last week, we found out that Season 12 of American Ninja Warrior would kick off September 7th, 2020. Today, American Ninja Warrior Nation tipped everyone off that there would be a brand new special episode of American Ninja Warrior All-Stars that will air the week before, showing at 8pm EST on August 31st! Last year’s All Star Special took the same place on the calendar – airing the week before the new season of American Ninja Warrior kicked off. One thing to be aware of is that the upcoming special was actually taped last summer, at the conclusion of Season 11’s competition while all the competitors were still in Las Vegas.
The format of the special is expected to be the same, and to have two parts. One part will be a skills competition, where each ninjas tries to top one another on specific obstacles. There will also be a team competition, where the ninjas are paired into teams and race on Season 11’s national finals course. The American Ninja Warrior hosts, Matt Iseman, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and Zuri Hall, each selected ninjas for their team to take part in the competition. We don’t have the full list of which ninjas will be part of the special yet, so stay tuned. However, based on this epic image Jessie Graff shared today, it’s probably a safe bet that she took part in it!
Look for the episode to air at 8pm EST on August 31st on NBC, and then tune in the following week, September 7th, for the official return of Season 12 of American Ninja Warrior.
