COR Fit UNAA Qualifier 2018
Calling all Ninjas!! It’s time for round 2!
COR.FIT is excited to host the second UNAA World Championship qualifying event at our Industrial location February 3rd.
This event is open to everyone 7 and up. You only need to purchase a competitor ticket. This competition is an official UNAA Qualifier. Top athletes will advance to compete in the 2018 World Finals! In order to advance, an annual UNAA membership is required prior to competing, and can be purchased here: http://www.ultimateninja.net/join/ – This is SEPARATE to the competition ticket. Please bring proof of membership to the event.
**If you competed in our December 2nd event, you are still eligible to compete again. Your UNAA membership is still valid for this competition so there is no need to join again, just purchase a competitor ticket**
STAGE 1: Top 50% of each bracket will advance. The top female in the 10-13 bracket advances automatically regardless of placement.
STAGE 2: Top 3 athletes from each class will advance to the UNAA World Finals. The top female in the 10-13 bracket advances automatically regardless of placement.
If an athlete competes and already has earned a UNAA World Championship spot, the qualifier rolls down to the next athlete who has purchased a membership. Three qualifying spots are available in each age category.
A portion of the competition ticket will go into a pot. The top athlete in each bracket will be awarded a prize.
Spectators are free! Signs, pom poms, cow bells, are encouraged!
Competitors have ONE reattempt to use on the obstacle of their choosing. The reattempt CANNOT be used on a obstacle that has already been passed; meaning you must decide right away if you are going to reattempt an obstacle, or save it for later in the course. If the obstacle needs to be reset post failure, a course judge will reset the obstacle. Time to reset will count against the athlete.
The head judge on course will sound a whistle if an obstacle is FAILED. If you do not hear a whistle, you have successfully completed the obstacle. The head judge is the ONLY one who determines whether an obstacle has been completed or not.
The course will have somewhere between 10-15 obstacles, with a mix of lower body & upper body skills tested, in the style of American Ninja Warrior.
In order to be considered for an Area Qualifying gym, each gym must have a minimum of at least 7 of the following obstacles: Please note that this list can be updated at any time.
Quintuple Steps, Salmon Ladder, Double Salmon Ladder, Lache Bars, Rope Climb, Rolling Log, Cliff Hanger, Unstable Bridge, Warped Wall, Rock Wall, Floating Doors, Rope Swing, Jumping Bars, Pipe Slider, Peg Board, Balance Tank, Cargo Net, Devil Steps, Ring Toss, Jumping Spider, Swing ladder, Body Prop, Rumbling Dice, Spider Flip, Door Knob Grasper, Flying Bar, Spider Climb, Grip Junction, Invisible Ladder, Pole Graspers, Balance beam, Slack Line, Silk Sliders, Balance steps.
The UNAA uses a point system for scoring. Each obstacle is worth 1 point, should an athlete fail an obstacle they will continue their run until they finish or fail the final obstacle, at which point the clock stops. Score is then determined by points gained, and time of full run. Points are the highest priority when determining final score with time being second priority. (EX: athlete completes 12 of 13 obstacles they have 12 points)
